Bluffton University fought past the Anderson University volleyball team in a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday in Bluffton, Ohio.
The Beavers (9-0, 2-0) put together a 25-18, 25-13, 29-27 sweep in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action for Match 1. Bluffton then topped the Ravens (0-2, 0-1) in a 25-21, 25-17, 28-26 decision during non-conference play in Match 2.
MATCH 1: BLUFFTON 3, ANDERSON 0
Tess Perdue (Lexington, Ky./West Jessamine) and Shaylen Perry (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) led the Ravens with seven kills apiece. Perry and Perdue contributed five blocks and three blocks, respectively. Erin Roach (Selma, Ind./Wapahani) scattered 15 digs. Hannah Rady (Cloverdale, Ind./Cloverdale) dished out 14 assists while Kate Todd (Festus, Mo./Festus) provided 10 assists. Todd also delivered two service aces. Felicity Bontrager (Goshen, Ind./Fairfield) and Ashlyn Transier (Cicero, Ind./Oak Hill) added five kills each.
MATCH 2: BLUFFTON 3, ANDERSON 0
Perry and Transier paced the Ravens with nine kills apiece. Roach collected 18 digs. Rady and Todd produced 18 assists and 13 assists, respectively. Todd also turned in two service aces. Jimena Montano (Algonquin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) tallied seven kills while Mary Engbrecht (Anderson, Ind./Daleville) put together six kills.

Anderson takes on Franklin College (0-2, 0-1) in a doubleheader on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Franklin. The first match in considered an HCAC match while the second match is regarded as non-conference action.
