Panthers Earn Sweep against Ravens
Hanover College earned a sweep against the Anderson University volleyball team on Saturday in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Hanover College earned a sweep against the Anderson University volleyball team on Saturday in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
The Panthers (11-5, 5-4) took a 26-28, 25-15, 25-21, 25-19 victory in Match 1, which counted towards Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play. Hanover then compiled a 25-13, 25-13, 25-22 win in Match 2, which is considered non-conference action.
MATCH 1: HANOVER 3, ANDERSON 1
"We started the first match off with some strong play and caught Hanover by surprise," Coach Tami Miller said. "However, we struggled in serve receive in both matches, which made it difficult for us to have any offensive rhythm. We continued to show an unwavering fight and were competitive in the first match in all four sets"
Hanover racked up a .379 hitting percentage while Anderson (2-11, 0-7) posted a .206 attack percentage.
Felicity Bontrager (Goshen, Ind./Fairfield) notched 10 kills, 11 digs and three blocks. Mary Engbrecht (Anderson, Ind./Daleville) smashed 10 kills. Brooke Troyer (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial) collected 22 digs and Erin Roach (Selma, Ind./Wapahani). Kate Todd (Festus, Mo./Festus) and Kaycie Gates (Newburgh, Ind./Castle) dished out 22 assists and 21 assists, respectively. Ashlyn Transier (Cicero, Ind./Oak Hill) and Shaylen Perry (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) racked up nine kills each. Jimena Montano (Algonquin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) and Tess Perdue (Lexington, Ky./West Jessamine) added five kills apiece.
MATCH 2: HANOVER 3, ANDERSON 0
The Panthers put together a .300 attack percentage while the Ravens turned in a .167 hitting percentage.
Montano led the Ravens with eight kills. Todd produced three service aces and 16 assists. Troyer tallied 13 digs and Transier provided five kills.
