Anderson Captures Historic Win against Hanover on Senior Day
The Anderson University volleyball team (11-9, 3-4) took down Hanover College (12-12, 3-4) by a score of 25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 20-25, 15-9 during Saturday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

The Anderson University volleyball team (11-9, 3-4) took down Hanover College (12-12, 3-4) by a score of 25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 20-25, 15-9 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
Anderson picked up the program's first win against Hanover since Sept. 10, 2011.
The Ravens also recognized Ally Hall, Jimena Montano, Tess Perdue, Hannah Rady, Erin Roach and Ashlyn Transier for Senior Day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ravens rolled to wins in the first two sets after starting off with an 8-2 lead in Set 1 and a 7-1 lead in Set 2.
- Hanover locked up Set 3 by a score of 25-22 after winning six of the last seven points.
- Hanover was held to a -.028 hitting percentage in Set 2 while Anderson was limited to a -.023 hitting percentage in Set 3.
- The Ravens jumped out to an 8-5 lead in Set 5.
- Anderson powered to a .667 attack percentage in Set 5. Hanover also played with efficiency in the fifth set, finishing with a .316 hitting percentage.
- The Ravens also closed out with a 90 percent sideout percentage in Set 5.
- Hanover held a 13-6 advantage in blocks.
- Anderson recorded a .170 hitting percentage while Hanover finished with a .114 hitting percentage.
- Hannah Rady, who has missed the season so far due to injury, played the opening point of Saturday's match and recorded an assist.

- Senior Day turned out how Senior Days should: with a victory! This was the Ravens' first win over Hanover in 11 years!!
- The home-court advantage and the awesome fan support from family, friends and the women's basketball team helped us seal the victory in Set 5.
- Shaylen Perry, Jimena Montano and Tess Perdue led the offense and kept the heat on all day!
- Defensively, Erin Roach and Ally Hall were a one-two punch and had solid digs throughout the match.
- Senior Ashlyn Transier played a solid game both in the frontcourt and backcourt.
- We are very proud of our graduating athletes and the leadership they showed. It's awesome to see a group of seniors performed like they did [on Saturday]. A job well done Ravens.
