Rocket League Goes 6-4 in Highly-Competitive CRL Qualifiers

The Anderson University Rocket League team opened the season by going 6-4 in two highly-competitive Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) Qualifiers.

Anderson first competed in the CRL East Qualifier #1 on Jan. 15. Between the east and west qualifiers, there were 348 teams that competed in the Jan. 15 CRL Qualifier. Anderson battled in a 55-team double-elimination tournament for pool play.

The CRL East Qualifier #2 took place on Jan. 22. Between the east and west qualifier, there were 393 team that competed in the Jan. 22 CRL Qualifier. Anderson battled in a 36-team double elimination tournament for pool play.

CRL EAST QUALIFIER #1 – Jan. 15, 2023

• Winners Round #1: Anderson (6-4) def. Auburn White (1-4) – 1-0, 3-2
• Winners Round #2: Anderson (6-4) def. Georgia Tech Swarm (7-4) – 3-2, 1-3, 1-0
• Winners Round #3: Central Florida Knights Academy (8-4) def. Anderson (6-4) – 1-2, 1-0, 4-1
• Losers Round #4: Oglethorpe (3-2) def. Anderson (6-4) – 0-1, 3-0, 3-2

CRL EAST QUALIFIER #2 – Jan. 22, 2023

• Winners Round #2: Anderson (6-4) def. Northeastern Red (1-2) – 1-0, 3-1
• Winners Round #3: Indiana (8-4) def. Anderson (6-4) – 5-1, 2-1
• Losers Round #3: Anderson (6-4) def. Illinois State Redbird Black (3-4) – 1-4, 6-1, 7-1
• Losers Round #4: Anderson (6-4) def. Florida State Gold (3-4) – 2-7, 2-0, 7-2
• Losers Round #5: Anderson (6-4) def. West Virginia Gold (7-4) – 0-4, 2-0, 4-2
