Anderson University men's golf sophomore Carson Coffman tied for 17th place during Friday's Yellow Jacket Spring Invitational in Defiance, Ohio.
Coffman fired a 27-hole score of 123 on the par-108 layout at Eagle Rock Golf Club. Konner Johnson tied for 32nd with a score of 141.
"I've been very encouraged by the start of our spring season," Coach Carter Collins said. "Neither of our two events thus far have been played under anything remotely close to ideal weather conditions, but Carson and Konner continue to show improvement and maintain a positive outlook. Those two guys have been dealt a tough hand so far in their careers for a variety of reasons, and I am so excited to see them as the leaders of our team next year, as we bring in a bunch of new faces and have a much fuller roster. The future of AU Golf is certainly looking bright, and having those two guys as the leaders of our program is a big reason why."
The Ravens return to action in the two-day Earlham Spring Invitational, beginning on Saturday, April 23 at the Richmond Elks Country Club in Richmond.
