COACH DIJON KNIGHT'S COMMENTS
- Our team's performance both days was commendable. Luke LeBourdais showcased some remarkable accuracy, hitting 10 out of 13 fairways on Day 2. Owen Mockabee's putting game was solid both days, with only 28 putts in Round 2. Notably on Day 2 both Owen, Luke, and Maverik Mollenkopf led the way by consistently hitting five or more greens in regulation which is a sign of improvement.
- As we look ahead to the conference tournament in May, it's exciting to know that we'll be back at the same course. The experiences gained there will undoubtedly serve us well as we strive for greater success during the HCAC Championship. There were times I thought we displayed a mix of promise and areas for growth. Despite battling challenging weather conditions with aggressive winds our players showed resilience and determination. Several players had strong starts, stringing together runs of hitting par. However, as a team we didn't close either round as strongly as we'd hoped. We will continue to work hard and rise to the challenge.
