Ken Dodson  – 2012 Athlete

Ken Dodson came to Anderson University from Vero Beach, Fla., to play football for the Ravens in the fall of 1980.
 
Dodson earned four letters on the football field and left as one of Anderson’s most decorated players. He was a two-time All-Conference selection (1984-85) and a three-time NAIA All-American (1982, 1984 and 1985). He was also a member of the NCAA Little All-American Team in 1982.
 
Dodson holds the season record for sacks with 16 in 1982 and the career record, with 45 over his four years; 21 more than the next closest Raven.  He also had the second most sacks in a season with 15 in 1984 and has three of the top six sack totals in a single season.
 
In addition, Dodson holds the record for most sacks in a game (5) and the school bench press record (525 pounds).
 
Dodson earned his bachelor’s degree in from Anderson University and added his Masters of Management degree from Indiana Wesleyan in 2001. He also returned to AU to earn his MBA in 2005.
 
After leaving AU, he signed free agent contracts with both the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. When his playing career was finished, he moved into the coaching ranks with stops at Noblesville High School, Douglas County High School (Colorado) and his alma mater Anderson University.
 
Dodson currently owns his own business True North Ventures and has also been on the Anderson University Marketing Advisory Board and a part-time instructor in the Falls School of Business.
 
Anderson University is proud to name Ken Dodson to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
