Vicki Graber – 2006 Athlete

Vicki Graber came to Anderson University in the fall of 1978 from Dunedin, Fla., to play tennis and run track.

Graber earned three letters in tennis and two in track from 1979-82. She was a two-time team MVP and finished second at the IAIAW State Tennis Championships meet three times. She had a career record of 41-8 in No. 1 singles and 31-9 in No. 1 doubles. She was undefeated in 13 matches in the 1981 season.

Off the tennis courts, she was involved with Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, PG Majors Club, Secret Sister to God Squad, Kappa Delta Pi and Alpha Chi National Academic Honorary.

Graber earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts in 1982 from Anderson and added a Master’s Public Health degree in Safety Management from South Florida in 1989.

After college, she played on the United States Professional Tennis Registry and coached Countryside High School’s boy’s and girl’s tennis team. She was also a professional tennis instructor for the city of Tampa clubs and has also taught in the Hillsborough and Pinellas County school systems.

Vicki is single resides in Clearwater, Fla.

Anderson University is proud to name Vicki Graber to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
