Kurt Moreillon – 2009 Athlete

Kurt Moreillon never made it out of town after graduating from Madison Heights High School, coming to Anderson in the fall of 1975 to play basketball for the Ravens.

He earned four letters in basketball and was twice All-Conference, All-District, team captain, and Team MVP. He also played in the Indiana College All-Star game in 1979.

He led the Ravens in scoring for three consecutive years and is one of only eight players to score 600 points in a season. He is third on the career scoring list (1,733), second in career field goals (766) and fifth in season field goals made with 274 in 1978-79.

Moreillon earned his bachelor's degree from AU in 1979 and added his master's degree in Political Science from Mississippi State University in 1988.

After leaving AU, he earned his black belt in Moo Kuk Kwan and coached Little League baseball, basketball and football. Currently, Moreillon is the supervisory U.S. probation officer for the Courts in Mississippi.

He resides with his wife Kathy and their two children, Ryan and Ashley, in Olive Branch, Miss.

Anderson University is proud to name Kurt Moreillon to its Athletic Hall of Fame.
