Peter Pritchett  – 2012 Athlete
 
Peter Pritchett came to Anderson University from Portland, Ore., to run track and field and cross country for the Ravens in the fall of 1989.
 
Pritchett earned three letters in cross country, along with three in track and field. In cross country, he was a three-time All-Conference selection (1989-91) and a two-time All-America (1990-91).
 
In track and field, he was a three-time conference champion in the 3,000 steeplechase (1990-92) and a two-time winner of the 5,000 meter race (1991-92). He was a three-time All-American in the 3,000 steeplechase (1990-92) and one-time All-American on the distance medley relay team (1990).
 
Pritchett earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Anderson University in 1993 and added his master’s degree in Theological Studies from Faith Evangelical Seminary in 2006.
 
Pritchett competed at the 1996 Olympic Trials and was a semifinalist in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
 
From 2000-10 Pritchett was the chaplain for the 162 Infantry Battalion from 2000-10.  He is currently a chaplain at the Yakima Training Center in Yakima, Wash.
