Steve Risinger crafted a superlative career in the field of sports medicine over his 42 years at Anderson University. A 1974 graduate of Anderson University, Risinger is a member of the Indiana Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame. His diligent work made AU's athletic training program a national leader. In the summer of 2000, the National Athletic Trainer's Association selected Doc the nation's Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer for 2000. Among other prestigious honors, Risinger was presented the Sagamore of the Wabash in 1999, the highest honor bestowed upon citizens of Indiana. Along with his great dedication to Anderson University, Risinger has also worked at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., as well as stints with three NFL teams, the Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts.
