Lois (Trisler) Lundy - 1997 Athlete

The first Anderson University women athlete to receive All-American honors was Lois Lundy, who left her mark in both track and cross country. Her senior year (1984) brought her an abundance of recognition as she was named MVP and team captain in cross country and was All-American in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

Lundy earned four letters as a distance runner in cross country and two years in track and field. She was selected MVP in track in 1984 and scored the most total points on the team as a senior. In 1981, she was a NCCAA outstanding female performer with records in the 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 meters.

After graduation, Lundy was on the track coaching staff at Anderson Middle School and then returned to Anderson University as an assistant coach in both men's and women's track and cross country.

She has shared leadership in various ministries at East Side Church of God in Anderson, particularly at the children's level.

Anderson University is proud to name Lois Jean (Trisler) Lundy among its first inductees to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
