Perdue, Roach Selected to All-Illinois College Tournament Team

"I'm so proud of Erin and Tess for being named to the all-tournament team," Coach Tami Miller said. "Both worked hard in the offseason to earn this honor. It was a great weekend for the entire team as well."
The Ravens (2-1) went 2-1 during the Illinois College Tournament in Jacksonville, Ill. Anderson fell to Westminster College (Mo.) (3-1) by a score of 10-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-21 on Friday. The Ravens then powered past Monmouth College (1-2) by a score of 25-23, 25-15, 25-15 on Friday. Anderson then rolled past Illinois College (1-2) by a score of 25-19, 26-24, 25-20 on Saturday.
In three matches, Perdue smashed 28 kills, averaged 2.8 kills per set and a .218 attack percentage. Perdue notched 10 kills against Westminster. She then produced 11 kills and a .375 attack percentage against Monmouth. Perdue closed out the tournament with seven kills against Illinois College.
In three matches, Roach scattered 53 digs, delivered six service aces and averaged 5.3 digs per set. Roach collected 22 digs against Westminster. She then tallied 15 digs and produced four service aces. Roach wrapped up the tournament by scattering 16 digs against Illinois College.
The Ravens host Olivet College (2-1) in their home opener on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
