Anderson Fights Off Earlham on Senior Day

The Anderson University volleyball team (11-11, 3-2) fought off an Earlham College (6-16,1-4) comeback attempt by a score of 25-19, 25-17, 22-25, 24-26, 15-13 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Anderson recognized seniors Shaylen Perry and Kate Todd prior to the contest for Senior Day.

COACH TAMI MILLER'S COMMENTS

• [Saturday] was a hard-fought battle against a deceptively talented Earlham team. The first two sets, we played with great ball control, a mixed offense and aggressive play. The third set, Earlham made adjustments and we struggled with ball control, which carried over into Set 4. Set 5, we played with heart and some great tenacity and came away with an amazing win. Shaylen Perry and Taylor Ridge were solid in the middle, along with Olivia Ricica and Paige Ricica on the pins. Lauren Dungan led the backcourt with no reception errors and 21 digs. It was a great team win for the Ravens!
• Shaylen Perry and Kate Todd have been two of the best athletes to work with in my career. They have been through a lot of adversity in their four years but their commitment to AUVB has never been in doubt. They are a true one-two punch in our offense and we are so blessed to have their amazing connection both on and off the court.
