Anderson Places Ninth in HCAC Championships
The Anderson University women's golf team placed ninth in the two-day Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships, which concluded on Sunday in Bluffton, Ohio.

Anderson put together a 36-hole team score of 921.

Taylor Gillum (Daleville, Ind./Daleville) tied for 39th with a score of 215. The freshman from Daleville fired rounds of 104 and 111 on the par-72 layout at Bluffton Golf Club.

Lauren Chapman (Noblesville, Ind./Heritage Christian School) tied for 42nd with a 217 after contributing rounds of 102 and 115. Haley Brown (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) claimed 45th after shooting rounds of 114 and 119. Erica Smatlak (Clackamas, Ore./Clackamas) finished 46th, providing rounds of 119 and 137.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology coasted to first with a team score of 660. Transylvania University came in second with a 699. Manchester University took third with a 706. Franklin College and Hanover College both tied for fourth with scores of 708, finishing ahead of Mount St. Joseph University (716), Earlham College (739), Bluffton University (789) and Anderson.

Rose-Hulman's Namuunaa Nadmid cruised to medalist honors with a 159 while winning the meet by five strokes. She posted rounds of 78 and 81.
