The Anderson University women’s golf team took fourth place in the Yellow Jacket Spring Invite on Friday in Defiance, Ohio.

Anderson closed out the meet with an 18-hole team score of 420.
"I'm really proud of the perseverance our team had playing through some tough conditions," Coach Morgan Douglass said. "It was a good first day to kick off spring tournaments."
Lauren Chapman tied for seventh place after carding a round of 96 on the par-72 layout at Auglaize Golf Club.
Jayda Hurst tied for 13th after shooting a 102, Lauren Benton tied for 17th with a 109 and Emma Howe finished 20th after carding a 113.
Anderson returns to action in the two-day Earlham Spring Invitational, beginning on Saturday, April 23 at the Richmond Elks Country Club in Richmond.
