The Anderson University women's tennis team routed Earlham College in a 9-0 victory during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Richmond.

Anderson (10-1, 5-0) tied the school record in wins, matching the 10-5 record compiled during the 2011-12 season.

Between two doubles matches and five singles match, Anderson held Earlham (0-8, 0-6) to one game won for the entire match.

Katrina Berban (Seguin, Texas/New Braunfels)/Jasmine Blair (Clearwater, Fla./Homeschool/Largo) (9-1) coasted to an 8-0 win against Abby Stewart/Alex Swank at No. 1 doubles while Allison Newman (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood)/Claire Miller (Indianapolis, Ind./Homeschool) (7-3) cruised to an 8-0 victory against Camille van der Vaart/Madison Dalzell at No. 2 doubles. Anna Creech (Richmond, Ind./Richmond)/Jordyn Roper (Belleville, Ill./Althoff Catholic) won by default at No. 3 singles.

Berban (11-0) earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Dalzell at No. 1 singles, Newman (5-5) secured a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Stewart at No. 2 singles, Blair (9-1) put together a 6-1, 6-0 win against Swank at No. 3 singles and Creech (5-3) claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win against Gloria Aligbe at No. 5 singles. Miller (9-2) won the first set 6-0 against van der Vaart at No. 4 singles before winning the set by retirement. Roper took the No. 6 singles spot in a win by default.

Anderson battles Defiance College (3-8, 2-4) in HCAC action next Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Defiance, Ohio. The Ravens then take on Midway University (4-2) next Friday at 5 p.m. in Midway, Ky. Anderson goes head-to-head with Transylvania University (5-1, 5-0), the only other remaining undefeated team conference play, in the regular-season finale next Saturday at 12 p.m. in Lexington, Ky.
