Long Named HCAC Player of the Week

The Ravens (2-6, 2-2) finished 1-1 last week. Anderson fell to Bethel University (Ind.) (13-10) in a 5-4 decision on Thursday. The Ravens then fought past Hanover College (1-3, 1-2) with a 5-4 HCAC victory on Saturday.
Long went 2-0 at No. 5 singles and 1-1 at No. 3 doubles last week. During No. 5 singles, Long captured a 6-4, 6-3 win against Bethel's Audriana Plothow and a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Hanover's Sidney Goedeker.
In No. 3 doubles, Bethel's Anna Pope/Plothow took an 8-1 win against Long/Morgan Oconitrillo (Indianapolis, Ind./Homeschool/Warren Central). Long/Claire Hannaford (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) then locked up an 8-2 victory against Hanover's Cassie Froedge/Plothow.
Anderson battles Spring Arbor University (11-11) on Monday at 3 p.m.
