Long Receives HCAC Athlete-of-the-Week Award

Anderson University women's tennis junior Megan Long received the HCAC Athlete-of-the-Week award, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Long earned the award for the first time this season and for the third time in her career.
Anderson (5-3, 3-1) charged past Manchester University (2-8, 1-4) with a 9-0 victory last Wednesday at the AU Tennis Courts. The Ravens then went 7-1 in last Saturday's Alma Doubles Invite in Alma, Mich.
Long went 4-0 last week, going 1-0 at No. 1 Singles and 3-0 at No. 2 Doubles. She grinded out a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (15-13) win against Manchester's Ella Knight at No. 1 Singles. Long/Madelyn Brown picked up an 8-1 win against Manchester's Natalie Kotlin/Knight at No. 2 Singles. During the Alma Doubles Invite, Long/Brown went 2-0 at No. 2 Doubles, capturing a 6-3, 6-0 win against Albion's Savannah McDonald/Josie Dunn and a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Alma's Summer Stoldt/Jada Zerlout.
The Ravens (5-3, 3-1) battle Franklin College (2-5, 1-3) in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
