Four Ravens Garner All-HCAC Honors
Anderson University women’s tennis players Ella Frantz, Gabby Hosier, Megan Long and Morgan Nation each garnered all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors, which were announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Anderson University women's tennis players Ella Frantz, Gabby Hosier, Megan Long and Morgan Nation each garnered all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors, which were announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Frantz, Hosier and Long each earned first-team all-conference honors while Nation received all-HCAC Honorable Mention.
Ella Frantz (Sophomore; Gas City, Ind./Mississinewa)
- First-Team All-HCAC (2022-23, 2023-24)
- HCAC Newcomer of the Year (2022-23)
- HCAC Singles Record: 6-0 (3-0 at No. 2, 3-0 at No. 3)
- HCAC Doubles Record: 3-3 (3-3 at No. 1)
- Overall Singles Record: 11-8 (0-1 at No. 1, 4-4 at No. 2, 6-0 at No. 3, 0-1 at No. 4, 1-2 at Tournaments)
- Overall Doubles Record: 7-12 (5-10 at No. 1, 2-2 at No. 2)
- Anderson Career Record Rankings: 22 Singles Win (T-13 Overall), 19 Doubles Win (T-16 Overall)
- Coach Scott Greve's Comments: Ella is the emotional leader of the team. When the team needs to be picked up, Ella is there to cheer them on and come up with big and exciting points. Her behind-the-scenes leadership is incredibly important for Raven Tennis. Ella is very deserving of an all-conference award.
Gabby Hosier (Freshman; Alexandria, Ind./Alexandria-Monroe)

- HCAC Singles Record: 5-1 (1-0 at No. 3, 3-1 at No. 4, 1-0 at No. 5)
- HCAC Doubles Record: 2-2 (2-2 at No. 3)
- Overall Singles Record: 15-6 (0-2 at No. 2, 5-2 at No. 3, 8-1 at No. 4, 2-1 at No. 5)
- Overall Doubles Record: 5-8 (0-2 at No. 2, 5-6 at No. 3)
- Tied for first in school history for single-season singles wins (15)
- Coach Scott Greve's Comments: Gabby has been a player we've been able to count on all season long. When you need a win to pick the team up, Gabby comes up with it. She is a teammate that can always be counted on for support. As a freshman, that's a unique characteristic and a great reason she deserves this honor.
Megan Long (Senior; New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine)

- HCAC Singles Record: 3-3 (3-3 at No. 1)
- HCAC Doubles Record: 3-3 (3-3 at No. 1)
- Overall Singles Record: 7-15 (6-13 at No. 1, 1-2 at Tournaments)
- Overall Doubles Record: 7-15 (6-11 at No. 1, 0-2 at No. 2, 1-2 at Tournaments)
- School Career Records: 36 Singles Win, 37 Doubles Wins, 73 Overall Wins
- Coach Scott Greve's Comments: Megan is the anchor and leader of our women's program. With all of her accomplishments and record-setting performances this year, it is fitting for her to receive the honor of being first team all conference. She is definitely the leader of our women's tennis team and has the desire to accomplish more.
Morgan Nation (Junior; Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah)

- HCAC Singles Record: 1-4 (0-3 at No. 2, 1-1 at No. 3)
- Overall Singles Record: 3-9 (0-1 at No. 1, 1-7 at No. 2, 2-1 at No. 3)
- Overall Doubles Record: 4-10 (0-3 at No. 1, 4-7 at No. 2)
- Coach Scott Greve's Comments: We are so happy Morgan came back to the team this year. She has been an instant source of quiet leadership for the women's team. Morgan is a great tennis player, but she is an even better person. For her to take a year off, come back while battling injuries and come up with some key wins, shows why she is worthy of an all-conference award.
