Anderson Rattles Off 22 Fourth-Quarter Points in Season-Opening Win
The Anderson University football team rattled off 22 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 34-21 victory during Saturday's season opener against North Park University at Macholtz Stadium.

Tyson Harley (New Palestine, Ind./Mount Vernon) hit Zac Tallent (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins) for a 58-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to put Anderson on the board. A mishold caused the Ravens to remain at six points. North Park took a 7-6 lead, but Harley found Elijah Crowe (Robinson, Ill./Logansport) for a 63-yard touchdown pass. The Ravens missed the two-point conversion, but the Ravens entered halftime with a 12-7 lead.

North Park put up two touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 21-12 lead. Reggie Lipscomb (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) broke off a 42-yard run to cut the deficit to 21-19. The Ravens then took a 25-21 lead when Johnell Wortham (St. Rose, La./Destrehan) blasted off with a 64-yard run. Lipscomb ran the 2-point conversion in to put Anderson up by six. After getting the ball back on North Park's 20. Lipscomb put the game away with a 20-yard touchdown.

Harley threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns. Tallent racked up nine receptions, 142 yards and a receiving touchdown. Lipscomb ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns while Wortham rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown. Both Lipscomb and Wortham averaged more than seven yards a carry.

Trevor Larence (Whiteland, Ind./Whiteland Community) led the team with six tackles. Malandric Skipper-Blair (Anderson, Ind./Anderson Preparatory Academy) finished with five tackles and a sack. Trevon McCall (Riverdale, Ga./Morrow) notched four tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks. Brandon Goodman (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) also registered a sack.

The Ravens host Cincinnati Christian University (1-1) Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. at Macholtz Stadium.
