Beavers Outlast Ravens
Bluffton University outlasted the Anderson University football team with a 24-17 victory during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Bluffton, Ohio.

Reggie Lipscomb (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) rushed for a one-yard touchdown with less than 10 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Late in the first quarter, Johnell Wortham (St. Rose, La./Destrehan) broke off an 80-yard touchdown run to extend Anderson's lead to 14-0.

Bluffton (1-6, 1-3) rattled off 17 points in the second quarter to take a 17-14 lead. Jason Marsh (Houston, Texas/Concordia Lutheran) evened the score at 17-all for the Ravens (3-5, 1-4) with a 26-yard field goal. The Beavers scored the go-ahead touchdown last in the third quarter with a two-yard run. Bluffton held Anderson scoreless in the fourth quarter to capture the victory.

Lipscomb rushed for a team-high 106 yards and provided a rushing touchdown. Wortham contributed 93 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Zac Tallent (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins) tallied nine receptions and 63 receiving yards.

Malandric Skipper-Blair (Anderson, Ind./Anderson Preparatory Academy) recorded nine tackles, including a sack. The junior linebacker from Anderson also forced a fumble. Charles Keith (Detroit, Mich./Franklin) produced eight tackles and broke up a pass. Cole Patrician (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) put together five tackles. Braden Mikel (Wakarusa, Ind./NorthWood) turned in a sack. Dahaven Rayner (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) and Andrew Cochran (Van Buren, Ind./Eastbrook) each provided break ups.

Anderson hosts Mount St. Joseph University (6-1, 4-1) in HCAC action for Senior Day on Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Macholtz Stadium.
