Tallent Named to D3Football.com Team of the Week

Anderson University football standout Zac Tallent (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins) was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week, which was announced by D3Football.com on Tuesday. He is the first player in program history to make a D3Football.com Team of the Week.
Tallent notched 22 receptions, blasting the previous single-game school record of 17 set by David Vance in 2001. The sophomore wide receiver from Lakeland, Fla. racked up 158 receiving yards and a six-yard touchdown reception during last Saturday's 76-46 loss to Mount St. Joseph University (7-2, 5-2). Anderson put up 688 yards of total offense, which is the second-highest total in school history, only trailing a 710-yard performance against Franklin College in 2003.
Tallent in the single-season school record holder with 92 receptions. He currently leads the conference and ranks third in the nation with 10.2 receptions per game. Tallent ranks second in the conference with 90.2 receiving yards per game and is tied for fifth in the conference with five receiving touchdowns.
Anderson (3-6, 1-5) clashes with Manchester University (3-6, 2-4) for The Bronze Ball. The HCAC showdown is scheduled for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in North Manchester.
