Bio

Coach Veronica Mitchell comes to Anderson University after a long, successful career as a high school coach in central Indiana. 

Coach Mitchell started her head coaching career in 2004 at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. There, she compiled an 84-64 record. Her teams earned top-10 state rankings in each of her 10 seasons as coach. She was named Indiana Girls Lacrosse Association (INGLA) Coach of the Year in 2012.

In 2008 between stints at Cathedral, she assisted Park Tudor High School to a State Championship game birth.

After her final year at Cathedral, Mitchell broke into the college game becoming the head coach at Franklin College while they made the transition from a club team to full varsity in 2013.

In 2014, Veronica returned to the high school game, heading up Noblesville High where she was named INGLA Coach of the Year for the second time in 2016. She compiled a 52-20 overall record in four years, and lead Noblesville to Final Four births in 2016 and 2017. 

Originally from Boone County and growing up attending the Church of God, Mitchell received an undergraduate degree in Sports Administration from Ball State University in 2001, and followed with a master's degree in Public Service Executive Development from the university in 2012.  She is married to Eric, and the mother of Alexandra (4), and Elijah (1).
