Ravens Fall to Pioneers in HCLC Championship Game
The second-seeded Anderson University women’s lacrosse team fell to top-seeded Transylvania University by a score of 19-4 during Friday’s Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Championship game in Lexington, Ky.

The second-seeded Anderson University women's lacrosse team fell to top-seeded Transylvania University by a score of 19-4 during Friday's Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Championship game in Lexington, Ky.
Transylvania (8-7) cleared 19-of-22 (86.3 percent) attempts while Anderson (8-8) finished 13-of-21 (61.9 percent) clears. The Pioneers outshot the Ravens 40-16.
Emma Sego provided two goals and two caused turnovers. Riley Tull contributed one goal and six draw controls. Katte Escobar added a goal. Lillie Casey and Mariah Sanders each caused two turnovers. Kiki Jose saved 14-of-33 (42.4 percent) shots and collected five ground balls.
"Transylvania was quite formidable and we were on our last legs due to injuries, which kept us from keeping up with them," Coach Russell Mackey said. "Congrats to a great Transylvania team and to a resilient never-give-up AU squad. They fought gallantly to the end!"
