Anderson University women’s lacrosse standout Madison Leonard (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) has been tabbed the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Defensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

Anderson University women's lacrosse standout Madison Leonard (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) has been tabbed the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Defensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

The Ravens (1-0) topped Hanover College (0-1) by a score of 9-8 in a quadruple overtime thriller in Hanover.

Leonard saved 13 of the 21 shots she faced for a .619 save percentage. The sophomore from Flower Mound, Texas tallied three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Anderson returns to action on March 11 by battling Concordia University Chicago (0-0) at 6:30 p.m. at Macholtz Stadium.
