Sweigart Locks Up Third in Discus in Huntington Invitational

Anderson University men's track and field freshman Michael Sweigart locked up third place in the discus throw during Thursday's Huntington University Invitational in Huntington.

Sweigart fired the discus a distance of 39.86 meters (130 feet, 9.25 inches).

COACH NIC HUFFMAN'S COMMENTS

It rained all Wednesday and [Thursday], battering winds of 40-plus miles per hour. With the mud and chilly gusts, it's tough to have your best marks. Some still managed to accomplish their bests. The day was a challenge, but overall, we held focus and saw a lot of great things happening. I'm proud of all the work the team has put in through the season. Now it's time to get some much-needed rest and start preparing for the conference season in two weeks.
