The Anderson University men's track and field entered in three meets during the week to tune up for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships.
Michael Sweigart battled in the Little State Championships on Thursday and Friday in Marion. Sweigart scored 13 points as Anderson's only entry, which was good enough to land the Ravens 14th in the team standings. Andre Moore and Zachary Davenport each competed in the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet on Friday in Terre Haute. Anderson had several entries in the MSJ Outdoor Invitational on Saturday in Cincinnati, taking sixth place in the meet.
COACH NIC HUFFMAN'S COMMENTS
This week was a tune up in chilly weather and wind on the homestretch. The runners were close to their best times even with worse conditions. That shows they are doing a great job executing their races. The throws group showed up big and the jumpers are improving. I'm excited to see what we do in conference next week. We need to rest up and stay focused this coming week.
