In a field with a handful of NCAA Division I teams, Anderson University men's track and field senior Michael Sweigart scored in two throwing events during the John Gartland Invitational on Saturday in Terre Haute.
Sweigart locked up third place in the weight throw with a toss of 17.95 meters (58 feet, 10.75 inches). The senior from Alexandria also came in fifth in the shot put with a throw of 15.10 meters (49 feet, 6.5 inches).
Sweigart's 10 points helped Anderson finish ninth in the team standings.
Anderson hosts the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. in Kardatzke Wellness Center.
