Felisha Johnson enter the 2022-23 season in her third year as an Anderson University assistant track and field coach. She primarily works with the throwers on the track and field team.

Johnson represented the United States in the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro in the shot put. She captured 14th in the shot put with a distance of 17.69 meters (58 feet, 0.5 inches). During the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, Johnson boasted a personal-record (PR) shot put distance of 19.23 meters (63 feet, 1.25 inches) to take third.

Johnson claimed the weight throw title during the 2015 U.S. Indoor Championships with a PR toss of 23.45 meters (76 feet, 11.25 inches).

During the 2017 U.S. Outdoor championships, Johnson secured fifth in the shot put. In 2014, Johnson medaled at both of the U.S. Championships in the shot put, taking third in the indoor meet and second in the outdoor meet. Johnson also earned fifth in the shot put during the 2013 U.S. Outdoor Championships.

While a student-athlete at Indiana State University, Johnson captured two national titles. Johnson earned the NCAA Division I indoor title in the weight throw as a sophomore in 2011 (22.69 meters – 74 feet, 5.5 inches) and as a senior in 2013 (23.52 meters – 77 feet, 2 inches). She put together seven career United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American finishes, recoding five in the indoor national meets and two in the indoor national meets. As a senior, Johnson claimed three Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) individual titles, placing first in the indoor weight throw, the outdoor shot put and the outdoor discus.

During her time at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Johnson claimed Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) state titles in the shot put as a junior and senior.

An Indianapolis native, Johnson graduated from Indiana State in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation & Sport Management.
