Sweigart Garners USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

Anderson University men's track and field junior Michael Sweigart garnered United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region honors, which was announced on Tuesday.

Sweigart posted a season-best of 18.46 meters (60 feet, 6.75 inches) to finish the regular season third in the Great Lakes Region and 20th in NCAA D-III. The USTFCCCA recognizes athletes that finish in the top five in the region with all-region honors. He also earned all-region recognition in the shot put and discus last outdoor season.

Sweigart battles in the weight throw in the NCAA D-III Indoor Championships on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. in Virginia Beach, Va.
