RAVEN COMMENTS
Mariah Murray – I think the meet was more about the team as a whole rather than individual races. It was one of those meets, because of the weather, that we really had to be there for each other and hype one another up just because the circumstances were so miserable. It's been extremely enjoyable, especially [on Saturday], watching the freshmen compete and just really dominate; they always come with the best attitudes and are just ready to compete every meet and it's super fun to kind of experience my freshman season all over again through them!
Coach Sol Stephens – We got off to a decent start with the good weather through the women's discus were they all set PRs. The women are getting better within the 400-meter relay reps. Noelle Loller set another PR in the 1,500 and then the weather hit... After the delay, we refocused and competed fantastically. Emily Smatlak won the javelin and Mariah Murray won the high jump. Olivia Moss had a great first run over the long hurdles. Both Noelle Loller and Emilie Penick in the 800. [Saturday] was a great experience in adversity and perseverance. Never knowing what Mother Nature may bring us conference weekend, we handled this poor weather test run superbly. We're going back to the drawing board on some things to be ready for action with a singular focus for the conference meet.
