Sones Finishes Seventh in 1,000 in Taylor Trojan Invite

Anderson University women's track and field junior Jaycie Sones finished seventh place overall and sixth in the college division during the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3 minutes, 29.41 seconds during Saturday's Taylor Trojan Invite in Upland.

COACH NIC HUFFMAN'S COMMENTS

I am so impressed with how this team is conducting themselves. Our encouragement, attitudes and discipline had other teams commenting on what a terrific energy we bring. That's the highest praise I can think of for a team. We are starting to implement our work in practice in a meet setting. I'm excited that it's early in the season and we are seeing such potential. I can't wait to see what we do this season and we are really excited about our home meet next week.
