Davis, Strege Sweep HCAC Athlete of the Week Awards

The Ravens (7-3, 3-2) picked up three wins, including a conference win, during Saturday's Manchester quadrangular. At seven wins, the Ravens broke the program record for most dual-meet wins in a season. Anderson cruised to a 200-42 victory against Manchester University (2-6, 0-2). The Ravens coasted to a 195-47 win against NCAA Division II's Urbana University (2-8). Anderson took down Olivet College (5-8) with a 190-73 victory.
Strege earned first place 11-dive 1-meter diving event, breaking the school record with a score of 393.15 points and an average of 35.74 points per dive. The freshman from McCordsville ranks second in the HCAC in the 11-dive 1-meter diving event. Strege debuted two new dives in her win.
Davis contributed wins in each of the four events she competed in. The sophomore from Centerville captured first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 29.82 seconds. Davis also claimed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 4.48 seconds.
The Ravens put together a 200 medley relay of Davis, Lillia Mitchell, Tess Maubach and Lily Hunter, which secured first (1:59.03). Anderson also fielded a 400 freestyle relay of Davis, Claire Leibold, Maubach and Hunter, which took first (3:57.28).
Anderson battles in the three-day HCAC Championships, beginning on Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. in Terre Haute.
