During the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships in her freshman year, Haessig raced to sixth place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2 minutes, 35.57 seconds. Haessig also secured seventh (5:22.48) in the 400 individual medley and eighth (1:06.10) in the 100 butterfly.
As a sophomore, Haessig took sixth (2:25.64) in the 200 butterfly during the conference meet. Haessig also claimed 11th (2:27.98) in the 200 individual medley and 11th (1:06.17) in the 100 butterfly. She received academic all-HCAC recognition.
In her career, Haessig has personal records of 2:24.95 in the 200 butterfly, 5:21.36 in the 400 individual medley, 1:04.97 in the 100 butterfly and 2:27.51 in the 200 individual medley.
