Hopp Tabbed HCAC Swimmer of the Week
Anderson University women’s swimmer Kaitlyn Hopp (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) was tabbed the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday.

Hopp captured two individual wins and a relay win on Saturday as the Ravens (1-0) secured a 104-80 victory against Hanover College (0-1) on Saturday. The junior from Downers Grove, Ill. claimed first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 12 minutes, 2.07 seconds. Hopp also took first (5:48.83) in the 500 freestyle.
The Ravens fielded a 200 medley relay that consisted of Hopp, Lillia Mitchell (Crawfordsville, Ind./North Montgomery), Tess Maubach (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) and Lily Hunter (Westfield, Ind./Westfield), which earned first.
Anderson battles Bethel University (Ind.) (2-5), Indiana Wesleyan University (5-1) and NCAA Division II's Hillsdale College (1-0) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Elkhart at the Beacon Health & Fitness Aquatics Center. In the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) poll, Indiana Wesleyan is ranked No. 3 and Bethel is ranked No. 8.
