Strege, Hunter Each Take HCAC Athlete-of-the-Week Awards
Anderson University women’s swimming and diving athletes Halle Strege (McCordsville, Ind. / Mount Vernon) and Lily Hunter (Westfield, Ind. / Westfield) each took the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Athlete-of-the-Week, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

Strege was tabbed the HCAC Diver of the Week for the sixth time in her career and the third time this season. Hunter was named the HCAC Swimmer of the Week for the third time in her career and for the second time this season.
Asbury University (5-2) edged Anderson (4-3) by a score of 114-99 on Friday in Bennett Natatorium.
Strege improved her 11-dive 1-meter diving school record with a score of 438.55 points, securing first place in the event. The junior from McCordsville also put together an average of 39.87 points per dive, which is also a school record. Strege, who has already qualified for the NCAA D-III Diving Regionals, hit the NCAA 'B' Qualifying Standard once again.
Hunter charged to first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.87 seconds, beating the field 1.41 seconds. The junior from Westfield also tied her season best. Hunter also competed on two of Anderson's 'A' relays. Anderson fielded a 200 freestyle relay of Heather Karm (Lowell, Ind. / Lowell), Brooklyn DenOuden (Lake Orion, Mich. / Lake Orion), Lillia Mitchell (Crawfordsville, Ind. / North Montgomery) and Hunter, which captured first with a season-best time of 1 minute, 46.35 seconds. The Ravens also put together a 200 medley relay team of Ashley Daulton (Batesville, Ind. / Batesville), Karm, Tess Maubach (Bloomington, Ill. / Bloomington) and Hunter, which clocked a season-best time of 1:58.56.
The Ravens battle Indiana Wesleyan University (2-2) on Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. in Bennett Natatorium. Indiana Wesleyan is ranked No. 3 in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) poll.
