Strege Collects HCAC Diver-of-the-Week Award

Anderson University women's diving junior Halle Strege (McCordsville, Ind. / Mount Vernon) a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Diver of the Week award, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Strege was named HCAC Diver of the Week for the fourth time this season and for the seventh time in her career.

Indiana Wesleyan (3-2) secured a 161-53 victory against the Ravens (4-4) on Saturday in Bennett Natatorium. The Wildcats are ranked No. 5 in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) poll.

Strege took first place in the 1-meter diving event with a six-dive school record of 244.35 points. The junior from McCordsville posted an average of 40.73 points per dive, which is also a school record.

Anderson, which holds a 3-2 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) record, returns to conference action in a dual with Transylvania University (5-2, 2-1) on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Lexington, Ky.
