Whatley Captures HCLC Offensive Player of the Week

Anderson University men's lacrosse standout Cole Whatley captured the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Offensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Whatley tallied six points on five goals and an assist last week. The freshman from Green Bay, Wis. won 19-of-32 (59.4 percent) faceoffs and collected 16 ground balls last week.
Anderson (1-4) locked up its second win in program history after the Ravens erased a 4-0 deficit for an 11-9 victory against Northland College (0-7) last Tuesday. Whitley netted four goals and picked up 16 ground balls. He also won 16-of-22 (72.7 percent) faceoffs.
The Ravens fell to Calvin University (3-1) in a 23-5 loss last Saturday. Whatley contributed a goal, an assist, three ground balls and three faceoff wins.
Anderson takes on Cornell College (1-1) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Macholtz Stadium.
