Adrian Secures Non-Conference Win against Anderson

The Bulldogs (3-2) cleared 23-of-27 (85.1 percent) attempts while the Ravens (0-3) finished 17-of-24 (70.8 percent) clears.
"Despite the final result and the slew of injuries throughout the game, we never stopped playing hard and I'm very proud in that we never gave up," Coach Jacob Ashton said. "Adrian is a very good team and I think it humbled us a bit."
Josh Rhodes (Vienna, Va./James Madison) led the Ravens with three goals. Michael Ertel (Morrow, Ohio/Little Miami) also produced two goals.
"Michael Ertel really showed a lot of growth [on Wednesday] and Josh Rhodes had another solid showing on offense."
Cole Whatley (Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy) contributed a goal for the Ravens. The sophomore from Green Bay, Wis. won 12-of-24 (50 percent) faceoffs and collected 10 ground balls.
Jacob Spratley (Columbus, Ind./Columbus East) netted a goal for Anderson. The junior from Columbus picked up five ground balls, caused three turnovers and won 3-of-5 (60 percent) faceoffs.
Mason Bratcher (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Male) caused five turnovers. Johnathan Havener (Kettering, Ohio/Kettering Fairmount) and Bryce Johnson (Greenfield, Ind./Cathedral) tallied four ground balls apiece.
Eric Fisher (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) saved 14 of the 32 shots he faced. The junior from Indianapolis picked up five ground balls.
"Defensively, we were very disorganized. Eric stood on head again showing strong resilience in the net, but we struggled on loose balls and gave them second and third opportunities to score."
The Ravens clash with Wabash College (3-0) on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Crawfordsville.
