COACH JACOB ASHTON'S COMMENTS
- Proud of our men who overcame some adversity in 3rd quarter and found a way to win.
- Great to have Kenny Bentley back at the X
- We created some turnovers in the ride, which led to goals, and multiple guys made plays, which we needed.
- Abram Zimmerman put together an all-around solid performance switching between midfield and Long stick defense contributing a hat trick on offense and a few caused turnovers on defense.
- I thought defensively, we played well all around, but we need to do a better job of taking care of the ball in the clearing game, as we played too much defense in spurts.
- Mason Bratcher switched back to defense and then came in at attack to put 2 goals in when we needed them.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter ended tied at 3 after Abram Zimmerman intercepted a pass and put the ball into the empty net
- The half ended with the Ravens up 5-4, with Will Harriman and Rick Kaufman coming up with goals
- The Ravens struggled to get anything going in the 3rd quarter, allowing three goals and allowing 11 shots
- Anderson came back and tied it at seven. Then, both teams traded goals to end regulation tied at eight
- In overtime, Anderson won the opening faceoff and took a shot in the first minute, which was stopped by the President's goalie. However, Mason Bratcher forced a turnover and less than 30 seconds later scored the winning goal!
- Wash. & Jeff. cleared successfully 15-of-18 (83.3 percent), while Anderson was successful on 15-of-24 (62.5 percent) of clears
- The Ravens won the faceoff battle, coming up with 12-of-20 (60.0 percent)
- Anderson was outshot 42-26, but outshot Wash. & Jeff. 3-0 in overtime
