Whatley, Lawrence Sweep HCLC Player of the Week Awards

Whatley was tabbed the HCLC Offensive Player of the Week while Lawrence was selected as the HCLC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Ravens (2-5, 1-0) rolled past Mount St. Joseph University (3-6, 0-2) with a 19-9 HCLC victory on Saturday. Anderson topped the previous single-game school goals record of 16 set earlier this season. The Ravens racked up 64 ground balls on the game, crushing the previous single-game school record of 51. Anderson also set single-game school records in assists (12), points (31) and caused turnovers (19).
Whatley broke the individual single-game school goals record with seven. The sophomore from Green Bay, Wis. contributed to five of Anderson's eight goals in the third quarter. Whatley won 10-of-19 (52.6 percent) faceoffs and picked up nine ground balls.
Lawrence tallied a team-high five caused turnovers and collected seven ground balls. The junior from Westfield also recorded a goal and three assists for four points.
Anderson takes on Earlham College (1-9, 0-1) in HCLC action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Richmond.
