Anderson Men’s Lacrosse Tallies Six All-HCLC Recipients
The Anderson University men’s lacrosse team tallied six all-Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) recipients, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Mason Bratcher and Josh Rhodes garnered first-team all-HCLC honors while Justin Bemis, Clayton Emery, Johnathan Havener and Bryce Johnson each earned second-team all-HCLC recognition.
Bratcher, Johnson and Rhodes were each second-team all-HCLC selections in 2021. Bemis, Emery and Havener each received their first career all-conference selection.
Bratcher has started all 14 matches this season and has recorded 46 caused turnovers, 39 ground balls and one assist on the season. The sophomore from Louisville, Ky. has recorded 3.29 caused turnovers per match, which ranks second in the HCLC and ties for 11th in the nation.
Rhodes has played in all 14 matches this season and notched 33 goals and 29 assists for 62 points on the season. The sophomore from Vienna, Va. Leads the HCLC in both points per match (4.29) and assists per match (2). Rhodes has also provided 2.29 goals per match., which ranks sixth in the conference.
Bemis has played in all 14 matches this season. He has collected 61 ground balls, caused 22 turnovers and dished out four assists on the season.
Emery has played in 11 matches this season. He has contributed 22 goals, five assists, 27 points and 22 ground balls so far this season.
Havener has competed in 14 matches this season. He has provided 31 goals, 18 assists, 49 points, 43 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. Among HCLC leaders, Havener ranks seventh with 3.43 points per match. Havener was also named HCLC Offensive Player of the Week this season.
Johnson has competed in 13 matches. He has tallied 26 caused turnovers and 44 ground balls. Johnson ranks seventh in the HCLC with 2.0 caused turnovers per match.
Anderson went 8-6 with a 2-1 conference record to take second place in the HCLC North Division. As the No. 2 seed in the North Division, Anderson opens the HCLC Semifinals against HCLC South Division champion Colorado College (5-8) on Friday at 5 p.m. CT in Chicago at St. Rita High School.
