Emery, Johnson Collect HCLC Weekly Awards Sweep

Anderson University men's lacrosse standouts Clayton Emery and Bryce Johnson swept the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) weekly awards, which were announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Emery was named the HCLC Offensive Player of the Week while Johnson was tabbed the HCLC Defensive Player of the Week. Both athletes received the first weekly conference award of their careers.

Anderson (1-2) fell to Heidelberg University (3-2) by a score of 13-8 last Saturday in Tiffin, Ohio.

Emery produced 4 goals and one assist against Heidelberg. Johnson recorded six caused turnovers and four ground balls against the Student Princes.

Anderson battles Washington & Jefferson College (3-3) on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Washington, Pa.
