Valerie Bingham-Williams – 2009 Athlete

Valerie Bingham-Williams entered AU in the fall of 1987 to run track and cross country.

She earned four letters in cross country and in track and was a team captain, team MVP, All- Conference, and All-American in both sports.

She was named Outstanding Senior Female Athlete in 1991 and still holds the school record in the marathon.

After graduating, she was an assistant cross country coach at AU before becoming a coach and teacher at Frankton High School.

Williams and her husband Brian currently reside in Anderson and have two sons, Jordan and Parker.

Anderson University is proud to name Valerie Bingham Williams to its Athletic Hall of Fame.
