Hayward earned his fifth HCAC Diver-of-the-Week award this season and his 14th of his career.
Anderson (5-0) fought past Indiana Wesleyan University (0-2) by a score of 105-84 last Friday at DeVoe Natatorium in Marion. The Ravens tied the school record for most wins in a season.
Hayward qualified for the NCAA D-III Diving Regionals for the fourth time in his career. The senior from Fort Wayne won the 6-dive 1-meter diving event with a score of 285.00 points, eclipsing the NCAA 'B' Qualifying Standard of 275 points. Hayward averaged 47.5 points per dive. He has competed in the NCAA D-III Diving Regionals twice previously. During his freshman season, the diving regionals were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anderson clashes with Bethel University (Ind.) (4-1) on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. at Elkhart Aquatic Center in Elkhart.
