Anderson Takes Down Hanover
The Anderson University men’s swimming and diving team took down Hanover College with a 121-54 victory during Saturday’s season opener at Bennett Natatorium.

Anderson moved to 1-0 on the season while Hanover fell to 0-1.
Evan Kropf (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) raced to first in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal record time of 21.96 seconds. The junior from Fort Wayne also took first (49.95) in the 100 freestyle.
Matthew Hayward (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) established the school record for 1-meter diving with a 6-dive score of 267.05 points, while earning first. The freshman from Fort Wayne posted an average of 44.51 points.
Cameron Stanley (Lizton, Ind./Tri-West) closed out the 1,000 freestyle in first with a time of 11 minutes, 20.9 seconds. The freshman from Lizton also locked up first (5:27.04) in the 500 freestyle.
Kris Keller (Fishers, Ind./Northridge) secured first (2:08.72) in the 200 individual medley. He also finished second (1:05.88) in the 100 breaststroke.
Josh Ekberg (Mahomet, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) claimed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.96.
David Lange (Milaca, Minn./Princeton) took second (2:19.88) in the 200 individual medley and third (1:07.12) in the 100 breaststroke.
Noah Scheffer (Lambertville, Mich./Bedford) placed second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.34 seconds.
The Ravens earned first (1:43.40) in the 200 medley relay, which was represented by Bryce Holt (Osceola, Ind./Penn), Ekberg, Scheffer and Kropf. Anderson also put together a 200 freestyle relay of Keller, Scheffer, Holt and Wil Lashbrook (Anderson, Ind./Anderson), which also took first (1:34.72).
Anderson takes on Bethel University (Ind.) (2-3) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Elkhart at the Beacon Health & Fitness Aquatics Center. Bethel is ranked No. 10 in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) poll.
