Hayward Battles in Ball State Meet

Hayward recorded a 6-dive 3-meter diving score of 215.63 points and an average of 35.94 points per dive. The Fort Wayne native put together a 6-dive 1-meter diving score of 211.65 points and an average of 35.28 points per dive.
"Competition [on Saturday] was hard based on the degree of difficulty the other divers had," Assistant Diving Coach Jacob Merkel said. "Matthew wasn't expected to be a first-place finisher, but he wasn't far off second with scores of about 215 on both boards. It was all around a fun and successful meet in the books!"
The Ravens kick off the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. in Terre Haute at Vigo County School Corporation Aquatic Center.
