Hayward Earns 10th HCAC Diver-of-the-Week Award of Season

Anderson University men's swimming and diving senior Matthew Hayward earned his 10th Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Diver-of-the-Week award of the season, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Hayward has tallied 19 HCAC Diver-of-the-Week awards in his career.

The Ravens (8-4, 3-3) fell to Transylvania University (4-2, 1-1) by a score of 173-113 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) dual in Lexington, Ky.

Hayward locked up first place in the 6-dive 1-meter diving event with a score of 281.20 points and an average of 46.87 points per dive. The senior from Fort Wayne also claimed first in the 6-dive 3-meter diving event with a score of 238.65 points and an average of 39.78 points per dive.

Anderson welcomes Asbury University (1-5) on Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Bennett Natatorium. The Senior Day ceremony is set to begin at 12:45 p.m.
