Bio

On Dec. 12, 2016, Mark Calder, along with Drew Brantley, was named co-interim head coach for the Anderson University baseball program.

Prior to becoming interim co-head coach, in 2016, Calder joined the AU baseball staff as the Director of Baseball Operations.

Calder came to AU with 19 years of coaching experience. Along with 12 seasons with the Pony Express Summer Travel Organization, he spent 13 seasons with former AU head coach Dustin Glant at Mt. Vernon High School and one season with Glant at Lapel High School.

Calder is a graduate of Ball State University and New Palestine High School.  He is a business owner and has spent 28 years with the Indianapolis Fire Department.

A resident of Fortville, Calder and his wife of 30 years, Patty, have raised 2 boys, both graduates of Purdue University.
